Don't Blink, Life Goes Faster Than You Think.

Have I ever told you how I met my husband? We met through the single ads in the newspaper. Guess what! I didn't place the ad. Turns out my mother placed it without my knowledge. We met for lunch on Saturday afternoon, dated for over two years, got engaged in Waikiki & it's been a wild ride ever since.

I received this as an email & just had to share. I don't mind if you write your name in the dust at my house; just don't date it! LADIES!!! Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it. 'A house becomes a home when you can write 'I love you' on the furniture.' I used to spend at least 8 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect - 'in case someone came over. Finally I realized one day that no-one came over; they were all out living life and having fun! NOW, when people visit, I don't have to explain the 'condition' of my home. They are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and having fun. If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice. Life is short. Finally. It has been a long time in coming. And yes, it happened yesterday. My husband & I had a date. Both kids were at their friends for the day & then the night. We caught a movie & then had dinner. It was a great time to catch up with each other as a couple.
