My 40 something version of Happy Hour

Friday night dinners are usually pizza & beer. The beer of course is for the 21 & over crowd. Although maybe a beer or two for the kids might not be a bad thing. Just a joke. At least they would crash early. I always looked forward to Friday's when I was in college. My roomies & I would scrape our pockets for quarters & go to Zelda's for Happy Hour for 50 cents drafts & free pizza. How can a poor college student pass up a great deal ? So ever since college, I just can't have pizza without a beer.

Here is my 40 something version of Happy Hour.











Although the beer is not a draft, we always are trying a new beer.

Living on a dead end street SUCKS! We are always the last for everything. Since we are currently snowed in, I had to tell the hospital that we will not be having mom's surgery tomorrow. Disney Update

I need your help. My friends on facebook have left my some ideas, but I want to hear from you. I did hear that there are great deals like stay 4 nights get 3 nights free. 1. What is the best time of the year to go? We were thinking early June. Maybe the second week. 2. Where to stay? We were thinking in the park. 3. Do we buy the meal plans? Some suggestions: Take your beautiful little girl to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique and make her a princess for an hour! Buy the meal plan if you're staying in a Disney resort- it's really, really, really cost-effective. And whatever you do, avoid 'It's a Small World'- it will turn you into a homicidal maniac. Try to find some books- knows the titles of some. They really helped me when we went. There's also some websites--she knows the addresses too! Good luck! It's a fun place & worth the time & effort.

Homemade Pizza Sauce

For years I have tried different ways to make homemade pizza sauce. I think I finally found what I was looking for. Homemade Pizza Sauce Ingredients: Three cans of tomato paste (6 oz can) One can of tomato sauce (15 oz can) Half cup of chopped onion Three cloves of garlic (chopped) 2 teaspoons of olive oil 2 teaspoons of granulated sugar Dry oregano- a few generous shakes (alternative to use is pizza seasoning). In a sauce pan add 3 cans of tomato paste & tomato sauce, cook on low heat. Add onions, garlic, olive oil, sugar & oregano. Continue to cook for about 30-60 minutes, stirring occasionally. ENJOY!
