His Mojo is Back



Today I woke thinking "What should I make for breakfast today? Do they want sausage & eggs or sausage & pancakes?" I'll make my decision while I drink my needed cup of joe. As I enjoyed my first cup down to the last drop, I heard alot of pots banging in the kitchen. So I got up to investigate who was in my kitchen. It was hubby. He had the eggs out, along with some ham & slices of bread. My first thought was, Ok, I won't have to make breakfast for him. Maybe the kids & I will have cereal. Oh good, less to clean up.

As I was half way done with my second cup of coffee, he brought me a plate with his version of ham & eggs. Wow! He hasn't cooked me breakfast in years. Not even on Mother's Day. It must be an adrenaline high that he has been on since Friday. You see, he has his second interview for the branch manager position at his company. He is flying to Chicago on Tuesday for it, so please keep your fingers crossed for us.

I Don't Think So

Living on a dead end street SUCKS! We are always the last for everything. Since we are currently snowed in, I had to tell the hospital that we will not be having mom's surgery tomorrow. Not only are we snowed in, but they wanted us to be there at 5 am. Yeah right! Not with these cold teperatures & the risk of the roads being a complete sheet of ice. I don't think so.

Count Down to Vacation

The mood in my house this week is excitement. We all are preparing for our departure to Myrtle Beach. Call us crazy for driving. The 12 hour trip shouldn't be so bad, we are breaking it up over 2 days. Today we took a trip to the post office to stop the mail & then headed out to Walmart. Last minute things to pick up, like flip-flops for my son. He is into Ironman this year & found a pair of flip-flops with Ironman on them. "Mom, can I get them?" he asked. Of course he could get them. He couldn't find a pair in his size. Why? They don't make mens shoes with Marvel super heros. This is when reality set in. My baby is growning up toooooo fast.
