Mama's Got a Brand New Bag

My daughter & I went shopping at Filene's last night. Everything is on sale. I asked the cashier if they were closing. She replied that "Their not sure." Any how, we went looking for a new purse & I had my daughter pick a few out. Her choices were interesting. Not quite the style that I would have picked but I was feeling spontaneous. I did pick one that she picked out for me. It truely was a combination of the two of us.

Living on a dead end street SUCKS! We are always the last for everything. Since we are currently snowed in, I had to tell the hospital that we will not be having mom's surgery tomorrow. Count Down to Vacation

The mood in my house this week is excitement. We all are preparing for our departure to Myrtle Beach. Call us crazy for driving. The 12 hour trip shouldn't be so bad, we are breaking it up over 2 days. Today we took a trip to the post office to stop the mail & then headed out to Walmart. Last minute things to pick up, like flip-flops for my son. He is into Ironman this year & found a pair of flip-flops with Ironman on them. "Mom, can I get them?" he asked. Of course he could get them. He couldn't find a pair in his size. Why? They don't make mens shoes with Marvel super heros. This is when reality set in. My baby is growning up toooooo fast.

Disney Update

I need your help. My friends on facebook have left my some ideas, but I want to hear from you. I did hear that there are great deals like stay 4 nights get 3 nights free. 1. What is the best time of the year to go? We were thinking early June. Maybe the second week. 2. Where to stay? We were thinking in the park. 3. Do we buy the meal plans? Some suggestions: Take your beautiful little girl to Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boutique and make her a princess for an hour! Buy the meal plan if you're staying in a Disney resort- it's really, really, really cost-effective. And whatever you do, avoid 'It's a Small World'- it will turn you into a homicidal maniac. Try to find some books- knows the titles of some. They really helped me when we went. There's also some websites--she knows the addresses too! Good luck! It's a fun place & worth the time & effort.
