Doing Something I Hate

Image
If you have read the 100 Random things about me, then you know I hate bra shopping. I like bra shopping as much as I like going to the gynecologist. It is very painful to go bra & swim suit shopping. I can’t just walk into Target or Walmart & buy a bra or bathing suit. I am a 36 DD. I hate it. Some women wish they were this size, not me. After two beautiful babies & breast feeding, the girls have decided to move south. How dare them not to invite me. Now that spring is in full swing & we are wearing more revealing clothing, I finally decided that my girls need to move north once again. So I went to Kohls. Let the torture begin. Padded bras don’t work. I’m already big enough, I don’t need to look any bigger. I can’t wear the pretty/sexy lacy bras; they don’t work with a tee shirt. They don’t look smooth, they leave bumps. Some make you look like Madonna, with the points. I don’t care to have torpedo boobs. Some don’t cover me on the side, others cut into your boobs. What...

Kirkland Signature By Borghese

Image
Spring is in the air & I decided to splurge on myself. At Costco, I recently purchased makeup. I found a great foundation, 3 concealers & application brush in one packet for about $18. In addition to the foundation, I found a nice eye shadow kit with pencil eyeliner, sharpener (not pictured) & 2 application brushes. There are a variety of 8 shadows & each end of the brushes has a different type a brush for different types of application. The shadow kit cost about $21. I give this make up a thumbs up!

Quick Cappuccino

Image
Do you want that cappuccino at home but don't have a cappuccino maker? Well I have a quick solution for you. Quick Cappuccino Ingredients: Fresh brewed coffee Coffee Creamer (like Coffeemate or International Delight) 1. Brew your coffee the way you would usually do it. You may want to make it a little stronger. 2.Pour a generous amount of coffee creamer into your coffee cup. 3. Next, take a fork & whip the cream in the cup until nice & frothy. About a minute or two. (Sorry about the picture, I don't know why it turned out this way.) 4. Pour you hot coffee right into the cup immediately after whipping cream. You should have a nice little foam on the top of your coffee. Top with a little cinnamon & enjoy.

Homemade French Onion Soup

Image
Had dinner out a few weeks ago & the kids ordered French onion soup for the first time. It got 2 thumbs up from both kids. So of course I heard, " Mom can you make some at home." So here is my version of French Onion Soup. French Onion Soup Ingredients 3 large onions 1 tbs butter olive oil 1 tsp Worcestershire 3 14 1/2 oz. cans of beef broth 1 cup of water 1 cup of a dark beer (optional) 1 1/2 cups of mozzarella cheese (shredded) salt pepper 1 loaf of French bread Preheat large Dutch oven on low heat. Melt butter in pot. Add olive oil, about 2 turns around the pot. Thinly slice all onions. Add onions to pot. Cook onions on medium heat until translucent, stirring frequently. Add Worcestershire. Stir onions again, making sure to mix in Worcestershire. Add salt & pepper to taste. Add beef broth, beer & water. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Pre heat oven to broiler setting on low. Slice bread into about about 1 1/2 inches in thickness. Place slices o...

Up at 7am. Hop into the shower. Made coffee. Can't start the mornings without it. Check email. Wake son up at 8 am. Put a flame under his butt to get ready for Stations of the Cross practice at 9 am. Drop him off. Come home. Get the Diva ready for CCD & soccer. Take Diva to CCD all dressed for soccer. Come home & pack every ones soccer equipment. Tired already. 10:50 am off to see CCD Stations of the Cross. Pull Diva from her CCD class so dad can take her for pictures. Watch son's performance. Pick up son after Stations & help him get dressed in the car for soccer. Walk down to field. Son's turn for pictures. Watch some of daughter's soccer game. Run to other side of field to watch son play. Run back to other side of field to catch daughter's game. Daughter's game over. Back to other side of field to watch the rest of son's game. Finally! Games over. Each child scored 2 goals. Daughter's team lost by 1. Son's team undefeated. Whew!! Time ...
