What I've Been Up To

Just off the top of my head some things that I have been up to.

1. Fifth grade recycling project.

2. Borough Days Project (grade 3 project)-entails making a poster to be elected for mayor & writing a speech to be elected as mayor.

3. Junior Achievement.

4. Job Interview-waiting to hear when my second interview will be.

5. Preparing for the closing on our house-this will occur May 10, 2010.

6. The daily adventures in babysitting my aging mother. Every day seems to be the same thing but different. I can't even begin to explain.

7. The everyday mundane house wife responsibilities.

8. Preparing the current house for sale.

9. Third grade field trip tomorrow.

Living on a dead end street SUCKS! We are always the last for everything. Since we are currently snowed in, I had to tell the hospital that we will not be having mom's surgery tomorrow. Not only are we snowed in, but they wanted us to be there at 5 am. Yeah right! Not with these cold teperatures & the risk of the roads being a complete sheet of ice. I don't think so.

Over Run By Divas

The Birthday Girl The Divas The cake. The one I worked long & hard on. It was made from scratch. I'm talking everything except the edible picture. We sang, the candles were blown out, the cake was cut & distributed. Then the food critic voice her opinion loud & clear. "I don't like this cake." She set the trend for the rest of the group. They slowly brought their plates back to the table one after the other. It was like the march of the penguins. Who do they think they are Gordon Ramsey? Count Down to Vacation

The mood in my house this week is excitement. We all are preparing for our departure to Myrtle Beach. Call us crazy for driving. The 12 hour trip shouldn't be so bad, we are breaking it up over 2 days. Today we took a trip to the post office to stop the mail & then headed out to Walmart. Last minute things to pick up, like flip-flops for my son. He is into Ironman this year & found a pair of flip-flops with Ironman on them. "Mom, can I get them?" he asked. Of course he could get them. He couldn't find a pair in his size. Why? They don't make mens shoes with Marvel super heros. This is when reality set in. My baby is growning up toooooo fast.
